David W. Barnett, DDS, MD
Born and raised in Natchez, Mississippi, Dr. Barnett graduated from the University of Mississippi where he received his degree in Biological Sciences. He then attended Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree in 2005, and was inducted into the OKU national honor society.
Dr. Barnett then began his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training at the University of Louisville residency program, in Lousiville, Kentucky, where he also earned his Medical Degree in 2008. Following graduation from medical school, Dr. Barnett completed a full internship in general surgery and completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency in 2011.
Dr. Barnett received comprehensive training in all aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He practices a full scope of oral surgery with particular interests in dentoalveolar surgery, dental implants and bone grafting, removal of wisdom teeth, maxillofacial trauma and reconstruction, and IV and general anesthesia.
Dr. Barnett is a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, a member of the Louisiana Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the Greater Baton Rouge Dental Association. Dr. Barnett is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Barnett enjoys spending time with his wife, LuAnn, who is a practicing Emergency Medicine Physician, and their two children.
